A library apprentice, a sorcerer prince, and an unbreakable magic bond…
The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.
Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all—the Crown Prince Aldrik—she finds herself enticed into his world. Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she’s known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she’s always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla’s indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.
Air affinity, magic that Vhalla Yarl discovered. As a library apprentice, she loves to arrange and read books. But, it became complicated as she discovered that she was possessed with some magical powers that would change her life forever.
I’m amazed how this new world with powers and magic turns out. Fire, air, water? Great power isn’t it? It reminds me of something… Hmm.
The world built in it became a slow paced for me. But I understand that it really takes explanations and character build up before the excitement comes out. Each chapter really starts with something that you wouldn’t notice that you were enjoying the book up to the last page. The characters really made me feel like I am a part of their own world. Vhalla Yarl, I’m so annoyed at her at first. Her decisions became so indecisive that I always gave her a rolling eyes. But then, it develops as she discovers about her new life and all the choices she made was a big impact to others. And Prince Aldrik, his character was still anonymous one for me. Until now, I’m still in the dark and finding the light of discovering him more.
