When it comes to love there’s no such thing as conventional.

Everyone thinks Colton Neely is special. Lilly Evans just thinks he’s fascinating.

Once friends when they were younger, their bond is cut short due to her accident prone nature and they go their separate ways. Years later, they meet again and Lilly learns that there is something special about the boy she once knew, but she has no idea what it all means.

And she’s not sure if she’s ready to find out. When he walks through the corridor of her school the first day of her senior year, she knows that it’s time to get to know the real Colton Neely. The more she learns, the deeper she falls. Their friendship grows into love, even as Colton does not express it in words. But one decision threatens to break down the world that Lilly has tried so hard to integrate into and she must figure out if the relationship can survive if they are apart.

“I don’t believe there’s such thing as conventional love. Love is bending. Love is breaking. Love is constantly learning about the person until you go crazy because it will never be perfect, but there’s no fault in trying.”

It’s just… Perfect! No exact description or perfect sentence to complete my feelings towards this story.

Lilly Evans and Colton Neely got separated when they were a child for the fact that Lilly doesn’t know. She thought it was because of her “clumsiness”. But after a long years, they’ve met again. And this time, Lilly would do everything to know all about this boy.

Facts that I really loved from this story:

Characters: Lilly Evans: If I will given a chance to give her another name, it would be “Patience”. What to know why? Read the book. Seriously, I really felt her, like I am in front of her, seeing all the scenes and her feelings from skin through the bones. She really loved Colton Neely–unconditionally. It was not being a martyr in my opinion, but it was the sweetest thing I had ever see read. You want to know the meaning of unconditional love? You will see it through her character.

Story: This was really an “extraordinary” one for me. It was a kind of story that it gives a heart warming feeling and an inspiration to all aspects–life, love and appreciation.

Puddle Jumping by Amber L. Johnson was indeed an amazing story! I will not regret reading another works of her!
